Humble ISD is the top school district team in the state of Texas for the fifth year in the Heart Walk. The district teams raised the most money out of all school districts participating in Heart Walks held across the state of Texas this fall.
“The Humble ISD family is a philanthropic community and I am very proud of the generosity across the district,” Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen said. “We are not just a family that takes care of itself, but we take care of others. To be named the number one school district team in the state is a big accomplishment. We had a great turnout, the high school mascots were there, and it was a lot of fun. It takes a huge number of people to collect those dollars and participate in the Heart Walk.”
Humble ISD helped raise $29,700 in the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk. Overall, the 2018 Greater Lake Houston Heart and Stroke Walk brought in more than $206,700, raising funds and awareness for the fight against heart disease.
