Jack M. Fields, Sr. Elementary students and teachers would like to thank the BookBusters volunteers at Northeast Memorial Hospital, Barnes and Noble at Deerbrook Mall, and the greater Humble community. Larry Williams from Barnes and Noble coordinates a community book drive for local Humble ISD students. Volunteers from the nearby Northeast Memorial Hospital (BookBusters) visit Jack M. Fields, Sr. Elementary and River Pines Elementary  every month. These amazing volunteers visit every grade level, talk to students about volunteerism, read to the students, and then distribute brand-new books donated by the community. We are extremely grateful and wanted to say “thank you!”

Mary Slaughter, BookBuster volunteer, reads to students while Larry Williams from Barnes and Noble and Elizabeth Martinez, 5th Grade teacher, listen to the story. Also listening to the story are students Alberto Toribio, Nicolas Aguilar, Grecia Renteria, Tyler Alfred, Cynthia Bahena, Abraham Aguilar, and Jaime Tapia.
