The Kingwood Athletic Club offers several programs and classes to its members to encourage good health in a time of busy lifestyles. They offer 80 group exercise classes per week, personal training by skilled trainers, and many sports and non-sports related amenities at their facility. “Aside from our large number of classes and superb facilities, we have several accomplishments to feature, such as a competitive swim team, girls’ volleyball league, and a brand new tennis director who has been extremely successful and instrumental at building junior tennis leagues,” said Membership Director JoElaine Phillips. The Kingwood Athletic Club offers a family-friendly environment. They take pride in being a club that offers rowing, strength and squash training. The club offers corporate rates to some businesses and all government employees. They also provide convenient rates to individuals, couples and families. The club offers a large number of programs for all ages. They teach swim lessons at 6 months of age and cater to each person, regardless of need. Although the majority of their membership base is between the ages of 40 and 75, there is something for everyone. “All the classes and personal training sessions we offer are taught by extensively-trained instructors who continually recertify and retain to stay on the cutting edge of fitness trends, while always staying true to our number one goal of getting you in the best possible health,” said Phillips. This club employs trainers skilled at helping all members achieve and surpass their own personal fitness goals, as well as includes an aquatics department that is home to their swim team. This department also offers swim lessons, CPR and lifeguard training, as well as many other water classes. “Our Kingwood Athletic & Racquet Club tennis program recently kicked off Feb. 16. It contains tennis camps, junior programs, USTA team leagues, and adult leagues and lessons,” added Phillips. The goal of the Kingwood Athletic Club is to remain committed to health and well being for the mind, body and spirit.
