Last Thursday, representatives from more than 35 universities including the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and the University of Houston, along with representatives from several branches of the military, were in the Lone Star College-Kingwood Student Fine Arts building for the campus’ University Day. The delegates from the various institutions provided information on application, different programs and classes offered, and answered students’ questions about their respective establishments. University Day took place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving students with many different class schedules time to flow through and peruse their choices. Susan Walcott inherited the event, saying that it had been going on at the campus for years before she took it over, and she has been organizing it every January for the last five years. “This day is important for the students, because the representatives will help the students decide on the best options for themselves for the future,” said Walcott.
