Agent Spotlight: Rita Price RE/MAX Associates Northeast II How long have you been a Realtor? I started selling real estate in November 2006. What made you become a Realtor? I retired after 27 years with the military (I retired in the grade of Colonel) and wanted to continue to work but didn’t want to work as a contractor or go back to DC. I wondered what profession to go into that would enable me to continue to work with people, management and strategy? Real estate was the answer since you are working with different clients all the time, helping them find properties and/or selling their homes, managing a strategy that gets the biggest bang for the buck. However, I can honestly say I doubt my experience would be so positive had I not started working with a great partner – Carol Toups-Bray. Carol is a top agent with the highest work ethic and is a great friend. What is the most expensive home you’ve ever sold? The highest priced house I’ve sold is $970,000. It was exciting, but I find working at all price ranges is exciting. What brought you to the Humble/Kingwood/Atascocita area? The reason we settled in Kingwood is because our daughter, Kimberly Fazzino, and four of our five grandchildren are here. That was the main reason, however, we love Kingwood and the Houston area. In fact, I knew Texas as a very proud state from having my grandparents retire in Beaumont, so it did not come as a surprise when I found the people of Kingwood proud of their military veterans and easy to work with. I’ll never forget when I was flying in uniform in George Bush Airport, there would always be someone who would tap me on the shoulder and thank me for my service. I never had this happen elsewhere. So, between family here and the wonderful Texas spirit, how could one live anywhere else?
