Mardi Gras in May - Zachary’s Cajun Cafe celebrates one-year anniversary

Zachary’s Cajun Cafe – Kingwood’s own authentic Cajun restaurant – is celebrating their one-year anniversary. May 13 will mark one year since Tim and Tamara Burke opened the doors to their cafe named after their teenage son. “Mardis Gras in May” is the theme for their celebration. From May 13 - 15 Zachary’s will have in- house food and drink specials, live music, beads, giveaways and even a book release by one of their bartenders. Ruben Rodriguez will be releasing his book “51 Tips On How To Be The Perfect Gentleman” where all of the proceeds will go to benefit St. Judes Hospital. Thursday is an open Mic Night that has become quite a popular event where locals get the chance to showcase their talent. Friday night will feature the sounds of “Harmony Groove,” while Saturday the music starts outside at 2 p.m. with the fun and jazzy sounds of “Brian Kasperitis and the Mr. K show,” then “These Guys Here” finish off Saturday night’s entertainment inside from 7 p.m. – close.
