The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recent hire of Christina O’Dell, who joins the Chamber team as Events and Engagement Manager. O’Dell’s proven background in event planning, program coordination and fundraising will help the Chamber further its member and community initiatives.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Lake Houston Area Chamber team,” O’Dell said. “This group of dedicated professionals works tirelessly to foster an environment of business continuity and growth. I am ready to dive in and put my passion to work for our local communities.”
For the Chamber, O’Dell will manage the Annual Golf Classic and Party on the Green, Lake Houston 10k 5k, Third Tuesdayluncheons, Atascocita BizCom and member networking functions. She is also tasked with onboarding members and helping them to achieve their goals through membership.
O’Dell comes to the Chamber with more than 13 years of experience in events. Most recently, she was Academic Counselor for Humble Christian School. She was responsible for school events and program development, fundraising and academic development, as well as, student academic plans and success. During her time with Humble Christian School, she created and implemented their virtual school department which tripled the growth of the high school.
O’Dell is continuing her education through the Lone Star College System where she plans to get a business degree from their University Center. She is a native of Abilene but made her home in Lake Houston 24 years ago. She spends her spare time with her family which includes her husband, Bradley, two sons, one daughter and two granddaughters. Her family includes three Service members - her husband who is a retired veteran for the U.S. Army, a son who currently serves in the Army and her other son who serves in the Marines.
