How long have you been a Realtor?

I am currently working on my 14th year as a Realtor.

Why did you become a Realtor?
I started working in the real estate profession because I really enjoy helping people. The feeling that I get helping people with one of the largest purchases in their life is incomparable. I think sometimes I get more excited than my clients when a buyer gets their offer accepted or when my seller gets an offer.

What is the most expensive home you have ever sold?
My largest home transaction was a $1.2 million home that belonged to a nationally-known Rap artist. I was a little anxious when I went to meet with him to list his home, but after meeting his family and him, I realized they were very down to earth and some of sweetest people you would ever want to meet.

How long have you been in the area?
I moved to Texas 33 years ago to attend college and never looked back. After 33 years in Northeast Harris County I call this home.

What do you think about the market at this time, and what advice might you have for someone considering to buy or sell?
This is a great market right now for both sellers and buyers. Homes that are priced right have been selling quickly, and the interest rates are still very low which makes it a great time to buy. There are also many programs out there to help with down payments and closing costs. One such program is Homes For Heroes. Through this program, I give part of my commission to the Hero, which includes teachers, firefighters, police, veterans, military, and health care workers. I've also teamed up with a local loan officer to further help contribute to the Heroes' closing costs. We recently closed our first Hero and were able to provide the total closing cost of $3,610.
