Hundreds of Houston-area businesses and professionals are expected to attend the Lake Houston Business Expo Presented by Insperity, scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center. The event, which will feature appearances by local media personalities as well as booth displays by the commercial enterprises which support the area, is produced annually by the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. For attendees, this is an opportunity to build new business relationships within the Lake Houston community, meet new vendors, forge new partnerships and network. Highlights of the day include a presentation by one of the worlds leading small business experts, Jim Blasingame, whose new book The Age of the Customer was released on Jan. 27. Blasingame will address approximately 200 attendees from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. during a limited-seating luncheon presented by Neighbors Emergency Center. Blasingame, who appears courtesy of Insperity, will also provide his personal recommendations to five area businesses during one-on-one sessions entitled Small Business Diagnosis: Prescriptions for Success. Additionally, The Business Expo will offer exciting prizes and giveaways throughout the day and conclude with a social hour hosted by the chamber, offering drinks and light bites and a cash bar from 5 to 6 p.m. The Business Expo will also feature the unveiling of the chambers new tagline and mission statement.
