Fifth tenant signs lease at Parc Air 59 in Humble

Jackson-Shaw, a national real estate development company, announced recently that it has leased to a fifth tenant at Parc Air 59, the 320,000-square-foot, three-building urban industrial development in Humble.

Lone Star Wire Rope, Inc., a wholesale wire rope distributor, has leased 26,010 square feet in Building 2, which is approximately 80,000 square feet. This fifth lease brings the overall park occupancy to approximately 70%.

Currently, the remaining 98,508 available square feet within the three state-of-the-art buildings features modern, flexible industrial space, that can accommodate office, showroom, manufacturing, distribution, assembly and a variety of other industrial uses.

Thackeray Partners is the project’s equity partner, Arch-Con Corporation is the general contractor for the project, with Powers Brown as the project’s architect, Kimley-Horn as the civil engineering firm and Comerica as construction financier.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar recently said state sales tax revenue totaled $2.69 billion in March, 2.9 percent more than in March 2019. The majority of March sales tax revenue is based on sales made in February and remitted to the agency in March. Total sales tax revenue in fiscal year 2020 through March 2020 was up 5 percent compared to the same period a year ago. “We expect that future sales tax revenue will be drastically affected because much of the economy has been shut down to combat the coronavirus pandemic and because of the negative impact of a global oil price war,” Hegar said. Sales tax is the largest source of state funding for the state budget, accounting for 57 percent of all tax collections.
