The Lone Star College-Small Business Development Center Advisory Council has named 24 finalists for its 32nd annual Business of the Year awards.
Three finalists are from the Lake Houston area: Postal Annex-Plus, DNA Studios and Pretty Little Things Boutique.
Nominees for the award were gathered from members of the local community, business leaders, chamber of commerce organizations, and economic development groups. These finalists were selected on the basis of leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, business growth and contribution to the community.
Winners of the LSC-SBDC award will be honored Nov. 15 at the 32nd Annual Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon held at the Lone Star Community Building Star of Texas Ballroom.
The finalists are:
Family-Owned: Flying M Feed & Company, Tejas Chocolate and Barbecue, and Molen and Associates
Franchise Owner: Primrose School of Conroe, Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning, and Postal Annex-Plus of Kingwood
Home-Based: Home Exterior Systems, Dawna Dyson and MantyWeb
Minority-Owned: Petra Oil Company, DNA Studios and Caffe Di Fiore
Small Business: McCall Gibson Swedlund Barfoot, Norris Training Systems, and Efficient Wealth Management
Veteran-Owned: The Ride Bus Service and Hanigan + Johnson Orthodontics
Woman-Owned: Animal ER of Northwest Houston, Next Level Urgent Care, and Spinal Care Chiropractic Center
Young Entrepreneur: Pretty Little Things Boutique, Stuckey’s, and CIII Consulting
