THE TOASTED YOLK SET TO OPEN IN NEW CANEY

The Toasted Yolk Café, a fast-casual local restaurant chain serving up chef-inspired takes on breakfast and lunch classics, will open its fifth Houston-area location in mid-May in Valley Ranch Town Center at Grand Parkway and Interstate 69.  The chain offers a menu of fresh breakfast and lunch items served with an irreverent flair, including The Arnold, the Toasted Yolk’s cheekily elevated version of eggs Benedict.Food lovers will be enticed by delectable beverage options from the sumptuous caramel macchiato to the playful cranberry mimosa. LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR’S BUSINESS GROWS

DNA Studios, LLC, has acquired the assets of Texas-based Legacy Sports Productions LSP. The acquisition adds to DNA Studios’ production capabilities, which provides mobile production facilities, packaging and studio services. The combined entity will deliver close to 300 games and events in 2018 including college football, college basketball, Major League Lacrosse, Major League Rugby, and continue to produce games for ESPN, CBS Sports Network, FOX Sports regionals, The MLB Network and many more. Sam Schrade will continue as the CEO of DNA Studios. Jim Barton will become VP of Sales and will focus on a “coast-to-coast” strategy. The acquisition will make DNA Studios the largest provider of TV trucks based in Texas. DNA Studios is a million-dollar privately held corporation and has been nominated several times for the Houston area’s Small Business of the Year. Sam Schrade is the founder and sole owner of the company. He’s been the recipient of several awards including the 2017 Young Professional of the Year Award for the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. He has 27 years in the broadcast industry and is known for creative and innovative solutions.
