Jack and Jill of America Humble-Kingwood chapter presented a check for $1,500 to the Humble Head Start Program - Harris County Department of Education center on Dec.19, 2012, from proceeds received from the chapter’s annual Trike-A-Thon fundraising event held at Summer Creek High School. The donated funds have been appropriated for classroom instructional material and outdoor riding equipment. There to receive the donation were: Patricia Kuskos, center manager; Enoud Bennett, assistant center manager; and Monique Lewis and Seandra Naborne, family service providers. Presenting the check were Jack and Jill of America Humble-Kingwood chapter members: Sylvia Green, president; Tracy Holmes, vice president; Mary Cureau, financial secretary; and Venecia Dutton, program director. Head Start programs offer comprehensive education, health, nutrition and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families. There are approximately 84 students enrolled in the enrichment program in Humble.
