Pappas Restaurants announces dessert program to raise funds for local food banks

Pappas Restaurants, owner of Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and Pappasito’s Cantina Restaurants among others, is proud to announce a donation of more than $12,000 to the local food banks, including the Houston area. The donations were raised during the restaurants annual dessert promotion. All Pappas restaurant locations participated in the promotion, giving guests and employees the opportunity to support their local food banks. From July 13 to July 26, 2009, guests had the opportunity to purchase any delicious Pappas dessert, and portions of the proceeds were donated to the food banks. Pappas Restaurants has proudly donated over $230,000 to various food banks nationwide over the last 13 years. Pappas is proud to support a cause that we really believe in – feeding the cities’ less fortunate families, said Pappas Restaurants owner Harris Pappas. This has been a tough year for food banks all over the nation. We recognize the growing need, and want to do our part to alleviate the deficit that the food banks are seeing. Our annual dessert promotion gives our guests and employees a way to make a positive impact on their local communities.
