HCPL branches open, free Internet and WiFi available Many Harris County Public Libraries are now open 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily with power and Internet. Anyone can come in and use a computer to apply for FEMA relief, send e-mail, etc. People are also welcome to plug in and charge cell phones and computers. Branches also have wireless Internet, so if people have a laptop, they can bring it and get Internet access. The library has plenty of books, DVDs, CDs, and other materials available for check out. Fines will be waived from Sept. 11 on returned materials until further notice. Carrabba's of Kingwood sponsors holiday luncheon The Kingwood Women’s Club Holiday Marketplace and Luncheon catered by Carrabba’s of Kingwood will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center and tickets are now available. Once again, Carrabba’s joins KWC to help make this yearly charity event a huge success. Carrabba’s will be serving Italian Bread with Dipping Oils, Green Salad with Italian Dressing, Chicken Bryan with Penne Pomodoro, and their signature Chocolate Cake with Ice tea and coffee. Tickets for the Holiday Marketplace and Luncheon are $25 and general admission tickets are $7.
