Joan Osborne, ABR, CRS, Hall of Fame RE/MAX Associates Northeast Q: How long have you been a Realtor? I have been a Realtor in the Kingwood/Atascocita area for 30 years. Twenty-five years were with RE/MAX Northeast, which became RE/MAX Associates Northeast a few years back. Q: What made you become a Realtor? After relocating here, I saw all that is involved in trying to relocate with two teenagers who were not happy with this change in their life. I knew this was going to be my new career. I had been in marketing positions on a part-time basis while my children were young. My love for the homes, as well as the enjoyment of meeting new people, fit perfectly into my plan of becoming a Realtor. Q: What is the most expensive house you have sold? $750,000 – however I do not specialize in any price range. I feel all my clients/customers are important and I give the same service to all, no matter what price range home I am selling or listing. Q: What is one of your strongest achievements in your career? Staying among the top producers of our office for the majority of my 30 years in the business. More importantly, many people I sold in the early years of my career as a Realtor have referred their children, aunts, uncles, parents, friends, and co-workers to me, which I take as a compliment. Q: What do you think about the market at this time? It is good. It is somewhat slower this time of year as it always is. When start of school is approaching or just beginning, people wait and get settled for awhile. We always have people relocating from various places across the states. With that in mind, Real Estate in our area is never real slow. We are lucky to live in such an area. Q. What brought you to the Humble/Kingwood area? My husband was relocated by an oil service company. We thought we would be here for two or three years. Moving from California, I looked forward to going back, but soon realized this was our home.
