RE/MAX team proven through longevity

A close-knit group of 18 Realtors have worked together for RE/MAX in the Kingwood area for more than 20 years and are still working together today. In a business that sees a lot of transition, it makes one ask how this group has managed to stay together in one place for so long. They are a mix of Realtors from RE/MAX Associates and RE/MAX Northeast, which merged into one entity in October 2002 – RE/MAX Associates Northeast. Tracy Stunja, co-owner, said the longevity of this group is due to the brand being associated with professionalism and premier services, both to the customers and to the agents in northeast Houston. “Thanks to associates like these, more people recognize the RE/MAX balloon logo than any other,” said Stunja. “We have a system in place that allows agents to work in an environment that is conducive to their success,” she said. The list of RE/MAX agents with 20-plus years of service reads like a ‘Who’s Who in Real Estate’ with names seen in local newspapers, on the Houston Area Realtor’s Web site, www.har.com, and on yard signs across Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita and well beyond. Having the most experience under her belt working at RE/MAX is Eunice Dennis with 29 years. “Without question, RE/MAX has continually provided the most appealing opportunities and latest technology to be all that I could be as a Realtor with the freedom to work independently for my clients’ benefit, yet enjoy a close Realtor camaraderie through the years,” she said. “Initially, it developed when we eight original Kingwood Realtors gathered to form the first RE/MAX office in Kingwood in August 1979. It has been extremely gratifying to be an integral part of many families’ home ownership decisions under the respected name of RE/MAX with the added benefit of developing great friendships I look forward to many more successful years here.” Sara Nowak, co-owner/broker, and Stephen Chapman have both enjoyed 27 years and still counting with the RE/MAX family. Referring to the list of associates, Nowak said, “These people were the pioneers ... we strive to make the workplace as helpful, supportive and technology-friendly as possible.” Annette Keady, Ellen Liming and Betty Hord each have 26 years of experience with RE/MAX, while Tom Hills and Joan Osborne have enjoyed 25 years. “I’ve been with RE/MAX for 25 years and have a total of 29 years experience in real estate,” said Hills. He attributes his career longevity to good company ownership. “They provide us with all the tools we need to be successful. What works is to like working with people, having a good sense of humor and making people comfortable in the home-buying process. Obviously, you have to like what you’re doing and enjoy the people.” Lynn Boyd, Bonnie Williams and Alice Pope each have 24 years to celebrate, while Laura Hayes, Lani Weirnick, Joan Imperato and Jean Waldrop each have 22 years. “I attribute my longevity at RE/MAX to lots of hard work, support of family and support of two very able assistants and the RE/MAX family. We stayed because we have the support of the Nowaks, the Stunjas and the agents who are all full-time, ethical professionals,” said Imperato. She also said the reason it took a lot of hard work and a lot of support is because it’s not just a matter of going around opening doors for people. With 21 years of RE/MAX experience, Pat Lewis, Eileen Heape and Janis Adams round out the list.
