Amedeo’s was the meeting place for the March 3 Hi Neighbor board meeting, where officers and committee chairs planned amazing upcoming events. This dynamic social organization of women offers a variety of get-acquainted events for ladies who want activities, luncheons, and the formation of lasting friendships. Members receive a comprehensive newsletter each month.

Consisting of ladies throughout the area, this active group offers numerous activity groups, such as theatre, bridge, bunko, canasta, LCR, Mahjong, sports and travel. Food and drink opportunities consist of Happy Hour, Lunch at the Club, Movie and Lunch, Wine and Roses, and Women and Wine. Philanthropic groups are “Heartbeat Bears,” where members contribute over 2,000 teddy bears to very ill children and youngsters in distress, and “Bag Ladies”, where dedicated members create sleeping mats for the homeless. Hi Neighbor also donates to worthy causes, such as Mission NE, USO, Family Time and other charities.

Through social events and community involvement, lasting friendships are made. The club theme is “Where Friendship Begins and Never Ends.” If you are interested in joining, or if you have a friend that might be interested, please visit www.hineighborkingwood.com or call Membership Chair Karyn Webb, 1-970-216-8555. The next monthly luncheon will be at Amedeo’s, Wednesday, April 14, and the theme, “Spring Garden” will have the restaurant decorated accordingly. The May luncheon’s theme is “Happy Hatters and Pearls” and the membership will be “dressed to the nines.”

It takes dedicated board members and committee chairs to keep this active club running smoothly. These caring ladies are “behind the scenes” working diligently to make the popular club successful.
