Lakeshore residents protest planned project

Angry and concerned residents of the Lakeshore community and surrounding neighborhoods convened at Atascocita High School on March 23 to ask questions about a proposed affordable housing community called, ‘The View.’

Lake Houston TIRZ authority to be extended through 2056

At its meeting March 10, the directors of the Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 10 (TIRZ) approved a formal request to the Houston City Council to increase its current boundaries of authority and extend its life beyond 2027. When approved, the TIRZ will function through at least 2056.

Humble to repair Humble Cemetery markers

On March 10, the Humble City Council announced an agreement to preserve the history in the Old Humble Cemetery and work with Humble ISD to create a retention pond and education area at the corner of Wilson Road by Humble High School.

The council approved a partnership with Texas Cemetery Restoration for restoration, leveling and repair of headstones in the Old Humble Cemetery, located at the corner of Old Humble Road and Isaacks Road.

Humble City Council discusses senior center progress
