School choice proponents hope for a ‘grand bargain’

Patient gets second chance, now self-described “poster child” for colorectal cancer screening

Hull, Texas resident Mary Barrier, 59, is no stranger to cancer.  In 2014, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. That same year, her husband was diagnosed with colon cancer. They were both treated successfully and went on with life.

Trio of outstanding young men earn Eagle Scout honor

Boy Scouts of America Troop 9, chartered by First United Methodist Church of Humble, held a court of honor March 4 to celebrate the Troop’s newest Eagle Scouts: brothers Carlos, Alexis and Damian Duran. On hand to help celebrate the occasion was Humble Mayor Merle Aaron, Jr. and Pastor Jim Flagg.
