On Aug. 3, the Huffman ISD Board of Trustees met remotely to let the superintendent enter into an inter-local agreement with Region 4 regarding student remote learning devices and changed dates for early voting and the school board election.

A socially distanced, packed boardroom convened in person Monday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. for the first time since the spring for a special school board meeting to address the Fall 2020 reopening of the district’s campuses, which is scheduled for Aug. 11 online followed by three phases of returning in-person learners.

The Rotary Club of Humble is in discussions with members to change its name, possibly to the Lake Houston Area Rotary Club.

The Huffman ISD Board of Trustees met July 27 to discuss policy and procedure changes in the up-and-coming school year due to the fears and directives pertaining to COVID-19.
