Atascocita Methodist Church hosts back-to-school parade

Despite being forced to host online services and cancel their annual Blessing the Backpacks event, the Atascocita United Methodist Church (AUMC) was able to pull off a socially distanced parade Sunday, Aug. 9, where hundreds of parishioners and members of the local community drove through a pre-planned route inside the church’s parking lot.

HAAM project provides new sneakers for students

A group of Humble ISD employees have taken on the task of spreading the word among coworkers about Sneakerdoodles to help get new sneakers for kids as the new school year begins. The departments include maintenance and operations as well as transportation.

Huffman ISD trustees discuss remote learning devices, early voting dates

On Aug. 3, the Huffman ISD Board of Trustees met remotely to let the superintendent enter into an inter-local agreement with Region 4 regarding student remote learning devices and changed dates for early voting and the school board election.
