Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) has begun their summer school supply drive, aiming to collect basic school supplies for in-need K-12 students in the Humble area.

The Humble City Council unanimously elected Councilman Allan Steagall to be its mayor pro-tempore for the next year at the June 22 council meeting.

The Kingwood Positive Interaction Program (PIP) meeting June 20 was devoted to introducing Kingwood’s newest police captain for the Kingwood station of the Houston Police Department (HPD).

Music was playing, paints were set out, the aprons were hanging, and Vicki Zahand and her husband were ready. Pinot’s Palette-Kingwood officially opened its doors a little over a year ago, where friends and family were encouraged to join in on some painting, drinks and fun.

The June 13 Humble ISD school board meeting began with the swearing-in ceremony for a newly elected board member. Martina Lemond Dixon was elected to Position 5.

Construction is less than two years away on FM 1960.  The FM 1960 Mobility Project will significantly impact the areas of Humble, Atascocita, Huffman and Kingwood.
