BARC, the City of Houston's Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, announces 138 adoptions during its participation in BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Spring National “Empty the Shelters" (ETS) event. From May 2 - 15, a total of 13,504 homeless pets were adopted from 280 shelters in 45 states.

 Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to make Kingwood area residents aware Houston Public Works will begin a panel replacement project on Kingwood Drive on Tuesday, May 31. 
 

 As thousands of visitors flock to Galveston this Memorial Day weekend, the island’s tourism industry will celebrate the kickoff of what is expected to be a successful summer vacation season.

Summer Vacation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, presents a variety of exhibitions, activities, tours, and programs for visitors of all ages on the main campus and at our house museum, Bayou Bend Collections and Garden. Explore exhibitions on view, including Leandro Erlich: Seeing Is Not Believing and Virtual Realities: The Art of M.C. Escher from the Michael S. Sachs Collection.

Guests are invited to kick off their summer with a splash when Palm Beach opens Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 28.
