Several tornadoes touched down in the Humble area during Saturday night’s storms.

Lynette Calfee is one busy retiree, but the Humble ISD Foundation board has a special place in her heart, so when “they” asked her to attend a board meeting in person, Calfee dutifully said yes.

The Huffman ISD Board of Directors met to discuss COVID attendance numbers and the variance from pre-COVID numbers. Additionally, the board adopted new substitute teacher pay for non-degreed, degreed, certified and long-term certified teachers.

On Dec. 14, the Humble ISD Board of Trustees welcomed new board member Marques Holmes. Holmes was chosen by the board to replace Lori Twomey, who resigned when moving out of state. Holmes was sworn in by Humble ISD Police Chief Solomon Cook.
