RTS Boxing presents the “Rumble in Humble XXV (25)” June 30 at the Humble Civic Center.
This is the 25th year that professional boxing has been held at the Humble arena and it has seen some of the most famous names in the sport, from George Foreman, former two-time heavyweight champion, to three-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, two-time champion Reggie Johnson, and world champions Raul Marquez and Juan Diaz.
Entertainers that have graced the doors include Denzel Washington, Dusty of the band ZZ Top, Lee Majors and others.
RTS Boxing is owned by Humble resident Courtney Glaspie, a product of the Humble school district who is also a trainer and diverse businessman who operates in Humble.
The show is headlined by former WBC light-heavyweight champion Alphonso Lopez (26-2) who scored a KO on the show back in March. Luis Acosta (2-0-2 KOs) is an outstanding amateur who is also from Humble and whose family owns the popular Tita’s restaurant.
