As an astronomer, I know how imporant it is to get kids interested early in science. We are fast approaching the end of the 2016-2017 Science Fair season in Humble ISD. The district fair for elementary students is on Saturday, April 8, at the Summer Creek High School cafeteria. The public is invited to view the projects and there is also a need for judges to help score them.

We need volunteers to judge from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on April 8. There is training for those who have never judged with us previously. The only requirement to judge is “ You can’t have an elementary child or grandchild in the Humble ISD area.” If you are interested and available, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. The fair is open to the public from 6-7 p.m. and at 7 p.m. we will present the awards. We hope you will come by and see the awesome work that our students are doing.
