Details: On 09/01/ 2016 at approximately 12:41 am Deputy L. Paige with Precinct Four Constable Mark Herman’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 11500 block of Bammel N Houston Road. Upon initiating the traffic stop Driver/Defendant Fernando Lopez failed to stop and evaded in his motor vehicle until he later stopped. Upon Deputy Paige making contact with Lopez, Deputy Paige could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from Lopez’s breath. Further investigation by Deputy Paige revealed that Lopez was intoxicated. Lopez was arrested, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Upon making contact with the Driver/Defendant, Maynor Garcia Deputy Munoz could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from Garcia’s breath. Further investigation by Deputy Munoz revealed that Garcia was intoxicated. Garcia was arrested, charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Deputies pursued the vehicle for approximately 60 miles before the vehicle stopped. Upon making contact with the Driver/Defendant Steven Swift, Deputy Bergman could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle. Further investigation by Deputy Bergman revealed that Swift was in possession of 1 gram of Cocaine. Deputy Palacios pursued the vehicle a short distance to where the vehicle stopped. Upon Deputy Gonzalez’s arrival, the complainant reported that several days prior he had property stolen from his truck and had located the property. Further investigation by Deputy Gonzalez revealed that the defendant, James Haynes, had stolen the property. Haynes also failed to identify himself to Deputy Gonzalez. Haynes was arrested, charged with Failure to Identify and Theft, and was booked into the Harris County Jail.

Details: On September 3, 2016 Deputy F. Hooper with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Spring Creek Drive. Upon Deputy Hooper making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Desean Roach and Deanna Mondy, Deputy Hooper could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Roach and Mondy were in possession of 1.7 ounces of Marijuana, and Roach was also in possession of a pistol. Roach was arrested, charged with Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, while Mondy was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana. Roach and Mondy were both booked into the Harris County Jail.
