Voters returned three incumbents to the Humble ISD school board May 6 and chose one newcomer to replace a retiring member. The supposedly non-partisan race that became partisan is over, with all three Humble ISD Board of Trustees incumbents – Sitton, Conrad and Cunningham – keeping their seats.

Friends, family and community members shared well wishes and exchanged goodbyes with two Humble ISD board members – Brent Engelage and Heath Rushing.

The final day of Humble ISD school board early voting saw 517 votes cast; 16 votes, or 3 percent, less than 2105.  The total vote for early voting was 3241, 1091, or 51 percent, more than 2015.  If voters maintain the same margin on Election Day, the final total should be 5400 votes.
