More than 40 Kingwood linedancers enjoyed lessons outdoors, taking advantage of the beautiful cool weather underneath the awning at the Kingwood Community Center. In addition to the upbeat music, dancers were surprised by delicious refreshments and goodies provided by the Hospice Compassus and the Arbor Terrace, a senior-living facility in Kingwood.

Beginner, intermediate, and advances lessons are taught at the Kingwood Community Center.  Kay Caffey teaches the beginner/ intermediate dances and Petra Ringeisen instructs the more advanced classes. To participate in either or both of the free dance lessons, or to take any number of other activities offered at the facility, call Justin  Hagendorf, Manager, at 281-348-2570.  Bunko, bridge, exercise classes, scrapbooking, quilting, and bingo are offered, as well as numerous trips to interesting destinations.  Buses are provided for the trips.

Linedancers also volunteer their time to perform for churches, nursing homes, senior residence facilities and The Gathering. Many friendships have been made throughout the group, and the  students rejoice in the "exercise to music" steps! This is a wonderful way to meet lovely, fun-loving people, give back to the community, and become healthier in the process.
