Local area CPAs meet to support Bill Frazer (from L-R):  Stephen King, Ron Lemer, Lori Butler, Anthony Love, Bill Frazer, Jean Frazer, Reed Wood, Mike Collier, Mike McLain and John Misitigh.

When 10 CPAs come together to visit a friend, instead of watching game three of the Houston Astros playoff series, you know he must be someone special.  That’s what happened one recent Sunday night when 10 local area CPAs got together to meet their friend Bill Frazer, CPA, who is running for city controller.

Reed Wood, who hosted the event in his home, noted, “We have big financial challenges ahead in Houston.  I have known Bill for many years and the type of accounting and finance experience Bill has is precisely what is essential for solving Houston's financial challenges.  He is the only candidate uniquely qualified to tackle the issues at hand.  As the Houston Chronicle states, he has been doing the job for decades.”

When Frazer ran in 2013, he lost by just under 2,000 votes. There was an “under vote” issue in Kingwood' in that situation, it meant a person voted for mayor, but did not vote for controller. These CPAs organized the event to help spread the word on how Kingwood can make a difference in the fiscal health of our city and choose the best candidate for the controller position.

Frazer has been endorsed by major 17 organizations and the list is growing more than any candidate, race-wide.  For more information about Frazer, go to www.FrazerForController.com.

Early voting starts on Monday, October 19, at the Kingwood Library.  Election Day follows on Tuesday, November 3.  Please vote!
