Bobbie Wells, president of the Kingwood Women’s Club, is proud to announce that $102,300 was made at the KWC Holiday Marketplace fundraising event last October.  Wells said, “This was made possible by the hard work of our members and the tremendous support of the community and local businesses.

"We would like to thank all of our sponsors and the community for their continued support.  The proceeds from Holiday Marketplace will fund college scholarships and also be distributed to local charities and organizations,” she added.

Kingwood Women's Club, a 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1985 in Kingwood, Texas, with the goal of providing volunteer service to various community organizations.  In addition to providing volunteer service, KWC, which now has over 130 active members, has been able to add generous donations to local organizations.   Since its inception, Kingwood Women's Club has donated over $1,000,000 to organizations in the Humble/Kingwood area.

The next Holiday Marketplace is scheduled for Oct. 24-25, 2016, at the Humble Civic Center.  To find out how to become a sponsor or vendor, go to www.kingwoodwomensclub.com.
