Thomas Saunders, RE/MAX Associates Northeast agent, shares knowledge with buyers and sellers

Thomas Saunders, a top listing agent at RE/MAX Associates Northeast’s Kingwood office, is a firm believer in the power of knowledge.

Armed with two degrees in architecture and a minor in construction management from the University of Houston, as well as an Accredited Buyer’s Representative designation, Saunders is taking steps to share his knowledge and expertise of the real estate market with anyone considering buying or selling their home. Saunders began his career in real estate in 2003, first selling, then buying homes for a national investment firm.

“I have the knowledge to help people make decisions; whether they are building, buying or selling their home,” he said. “It was always my dream to be able to provide a secure home for my family and, now that I’ve accomplished that, I want to do the same for as many people as I can.”

Saunders’ passion for and success in real estate earned him an Endorsed Local Provider status on The Dave Ramsey Show, a national podcast and self-syndicated radio program that provides personal money management expertise, which is broadcast locally on KSEV 700 AM.

In order to share his knowledge with a larger audience, Saunders began holding New Home Buyers Seminars. Scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, the free seminars take place at Kingwood’s Los Cucos Mexican Restaurant, 23730 U.S. Highway 59.

“With experience in both sides of the market, Thomas is an ideal candidate to help anyone interested in learning more about the buying or selling process,” said Rex Wall, owner of RE/MAX Associates Northeast.

With the goal of having those attending the seminars to leave with confidence and education, Saunders said he will answer questions such as: Why buy a home? Is it the right time to buy? What can I afford? He’ll also provide tips for working with a Realtor; the buyer/seller roles in handling liabilities, repairs and structures; how to deal with banks; and an explanation of closing costs.
