Five male suspects were arrested today after robbing a bank in Kingwood and leading police on a high-speed pursuit through Atascocita, according to the Houston Police Department and Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The suspects robbed Chase Bank in the 2600 block of West Lake Houston Parkway in Kingwood shortly after 2 p.m. where they also assaulted a woman inside the bank, officers said. The men then jumped into a silver Dodge Durango getaway car and fled the scene with officers in pursuit.
Police used a spike-strip to blow the Durango's tires out on FM 1960 near Town Center Boulevard where the SUV wrecked into a drainage ditch. The five suspects got out of the vehicle and fled into a nearby wooded area on foot, according to HPD.
Three of the suspects were shortly found and arrested in the 6400 block of Kingwood Glen while the fourth and fifth were later captured.
Houston police identified the suspects as Roderick Dewayne Anderson, 34; Keeland Duralle Williams, 32; Ezekiel Christian Hamm, 23; Alexander Sylvester Sellers, 21; and Kendrick Dewayne Walker, 21. All five of the men have northeast Houston addresses, court records show.
Nearby Oaks and Oak Forest elementary schools were locked down during the incident but there were no children at either school.
